The first 2 minutes of Brian Smith and Rob Hatch trashing the Swiss national team for chasing today’s breakaway with one of their riders in it. They’ve revisited the beating twice as of this posting.
do they just not know they have a rider up the road??
I figured the Swiss National team was just trying to get some TV time during the last road race day of a Swiss stage race, but the announcers started messaging people associated with the team and were told they agreed to help Movistar try to keep Mark Soler (Catalan born
) in yellow. I won’t spoil how that worked out…
I wonder why. Maybe a little pre grand tour or pre olympics goodwill for hirschi?
That was a wild stage. The whole neutralization clown show was a classic UCI fuckup.
I just watched the latest mtb world cup on the Redbupp app. Damn that stuff is close.
We watched last night. Can’t stand the taste, but I couldn’t be a bigger fan of Redbull. So impressed with all the content they produce.
Considering how Koppenberg cross went, I already had a pretty good idea how this would go for the “cross-over” guys but they both still managed to surprise me. One in a good way, one not so much.
ETA: I made a gif from yesterday’s Giro stage. Entering the litter zone at 10km to go.

maybe im naive but i guess i assumed that their off the shelf branded components were more custom built out for the pro peloton. someone couldnt make him a cassette with what he needed?
I’m a little surprised that one gear in the middle of his range makes that big of a difference. Considering all of the factors like gradient and air resistance, that are constantly changing, it seems odd that one single ratio would be that important. Especially to give up an extra gear for.
Seems maybe like some marketing stunt that we don’t understand yet. Like when someone a bunch of years ago had to throw a bottle cage on their TT bike at the start line because the bike was too light (just to get news coverage that that brand’s TT bike could break the UCI weight limit).

Might have been mental help, but it worked for him.
Idk, I think I can feel the difference between a mid-compact and standard chainset. Might just be 1t on the big ring, but my cadence sometimes feels just a bit too high sometimes, but moving to a smaller cog makes it a bit too low.
goldilocks and the 3
I could imagine a sprinter type having a near superstition about what works for them in the climbs.
…and 11 in the back seems to be adequate up to now…
gotta find me something with a 27–it’s gotta be the 27.
Not sure how this wahoo remains upright with his old-timey brakes. These pros clearly have no idea what they’re doing.
If there’s one thing I can’t stand it’s a cycling Luddite.
Didn’t Ewan abandon? Probably should have had that 28 dude
He’s been talking about it since before the race. The knee thing feels like an insult to my intelligence. He wants more time to prep for the Tour. He said he wants a stage win in all 3 GTs this year.
