Are you buying some greasies and riding home Jono or crashing the night?
Smashed a burger and a beer a few laps before the finish and hopped on the most crowded train Iâve ever been on. Then the last train line to my house was closed for track work so the fam had to come get meâŚ
Was a cracker of a day. Gave up on live blogging cos having too much fun. Ended up hanging out with some friends from the PI obscure fixie forum. Watched the last few laps from the 250m to go point, was an incredible vibe.
Gravel World Championship was a pretty boring course. Fun if you were just riding with friends, but, well, I guess it is what we expected UCI to do to it.

Halfway through the replay of todayâs ruddevoorde super prestige. Havenât seen the end, so no spoilers. ButâŚ
LARS!
Nevermind
Where is it streaming. Help me tarck lazy Google.
I bought gcn+ and Flo cycling. Kind of annoyed that I need to pay for it, but then I remember that things arenât free just because I want them to be.
Holy shit
A day late, butâŚ
Laaaaaaaaaars!
Heard good thins about the koppenberg womenâs race too. Canât wait.
Real talk: is Sanne Cant sucking recently after dominating for a long time because she stopped doing two years ago?
I think she has just gotten older
Bummed there was no coverage of this via GCN and the sort, but holy fuck what a slog this course looks like. Dutch go hard. (oh, the races are tomorrow, but still).
Related, but not, why are there no female Belgian pro CX racers besides Sanne Cant?
$$$
The Dutch spend a fortune on developing youts of both sexes.
Also imo, culture. I didnât see any messaging for girls to behave like girls in NL. Belgians have a bit of French in them. Heard âje suis en filleâ from more than one adult woman while living in France.
Well PFP is French AF and kicks their ass across all the disciplines, so even half frenchie girls can be good. Just something you notice on the laps as the note racers, time back, and country. Men is pretty even, women you are only getting variety with Blanka Vas and the brit who sometimes is up in it.
Ok, so youâre ok to pursue something if itâs at a world class level. Otherwise youâre discouraged; this is for boys and girls and in addition to the other cultural stigmas. Iâve had conversations about this with quite a few French folks because I found it really fascinating. When I lived in Grenoble, everyone skied but no one admitted it unless they spent at least 2 years with the French National team.
Burn your Trek.
Well now that he has gotten a taste for blood, he is bound to do it again. We must put him down!
again?
