i had the āroadieā bar setup on the cx bike and ended up with a messed up back.
went through uci race pics and noticed they all had bars tilted upā¦

Yeah. It makes sense if you tend to live on the hoods, and a lot of really fast people do.

looks like all of the tilted ones have the levers in the normal spot, with the whole bar assembly tilted up
I didnāt have my camera, but today I saw a shitty road bike with the brake levers mounted upside down. Iāve never seen that particular bum bar setup before.
Iām confused. I know that bikes with Brooks saddles need a certain saddle to bar drop (or lack thereof), but is this jackass? I mean, that steerer tube looks incredibly too long.
the most jackass thing in the picture is the headtube length surly uses for the CC.
and itās steel, so no structural issues with so much stack.
Other JA thing is the Shimano indexed bar end shifter + inline travel agent combo for shifting the 8-speed Nexus
Was a clever idea since itās double the cable pull, but the shift from 4 to 5 is slightly bigger than the others and the cables wiggle around on the travel agent. Itās probably from the days before Jtek came out with perfect shifters though.

Man, I saw some hip kid riding down Valencia on Sunday on a fucking Cannondale Super-X with Red with the shifters all pointing to the sky like that, with clips and straps. I wanted to punch his bike.
