Say it ain't so: The Assploded Bike Parts Picture Thread.

for anyone with a sweaty head: Randi Jo Fab linen caps in the big bill size are definitely great. good wicking, fast dry and, get this, a bill that’s acutally big enough to block the sun when you’re in a normal road riding position.

OK, so I get major pit and back sweat. I discovered tank tops over the pandemic and it’s a game changer. Bur yea, anything above 60° and if I’m doing anything more than calmly walking I’ll sweat through a shirt.

Im also a recent tank top convert. I never used to be a tank top guy cuz I am and have always been kinda scrawny looking but I’m 100% over with how anyone else feels about it.

This is me in the summer on the cargo bike. Tank top and Chacos AYHSMB.

seconding, rando ji caps are the best around. I have a swift-branded wool one with earflaps for the winter and it’s so luxurious. gonna transition to an entirely RJ based headwear loadout eventually

Also fell in love with tank tops in the last couple years, albeit as a fat ass. Tank + thin Hawaiian shirt unbuttoned flapping in the breeze is my go to for summer rides

I did a lot of mesh tank + loose short sleeve top around town in the last few summers. the Calvin Klein ones are nice.

i got one of these

for wearing on the bort in the summer
shockingly good product for $55, feels cooler than a tshirt, the hood is great, and if you get wet with it on it keeps you double cool!

With the help of some x-tra long headset removers and presses, Haulin Colin & I replaced the Diatech Meloncup headset on my CycleTruck last week.
The old headset had some pretty dangerous indexing and prefer to point straight.
Turns out the lower cup was toast with roller bearings indenting the race and cup.

Not mine, but the fellow club member went down hard and broke his collarbone.

I have the non hooded version of this. It’s great. Feels so light and cool on the skin.

Yikes. @ProCracknfailBro what say you

It started to crack @ the spider, then went snap when they stood up to sprint?

That’s my guess. I had a buddy do almost the same thing on a MTB. The crank arm let go on a hard landing.

(shudder)

i’m guessing he’s going to say it cracked and then it failed
and then the dude’s collarbone cracked and failed
