i don’t deal a lot with boingy bikes so no. is this some terrible galvanic reaction between the aluminum caliper and magnesium fork lower?

I don’t know how this happened but it sure caused a lot of drag for the rest of my ride home after I decided to keep going instead of seeking out a public repair stand.

yikes! you couldn’t just pull the whole pad out and flintstones stop your way home?

I stood there thinking about it for a few minutes but really didn’t feel like taking my wheel off without something to hold my bike. It could’ve been done but the thought of “I could be doing this in the comfort of my garage” was strong.
