The HN’s are a little underwhelming, but I figure with a DH casing tire and those I should be in a much better spot until I can cough up the dough for the Cush Cores.

The housing is less than a year old, the end of the ferrule is still in there, yet the cable is totally fine
V stoked I have friction shifters and so don’t have to bother fixing this until Overhaul Season

Someone on the local bicyclist dork facebook group posted those, asking “how much mud can these mud shedders shed” and boy, I was very mildly amused
I had a pretty shit revelation last night when I tried to change my rear dangler to one that would shift bigger than a 36. I had to rethread a new cable of course and while I was up for a challenge, given that the OPEN is internally routed, I didn’t honestly think I was going to have to remove the crank and press-fit BB. What a PITFA.

Yeah. Philisophically this bike is so wrong for me. I run full length external cables on most of my dirty-ish bikes, but they still wear. Part of me says WTF, just throw the wifi shit on it, its so far away from what I’d normally do. Everyone I know who has had the sram stuff has gone back to di2, and they are not going to tell you why, while they are trying to quit their old shit.

ha ha. Not very ! I dont normally fraternise much with the road crowd, so yes, its a small sample set. Can anyone tell me how long the batteries last for on the Sram stuff?
