I just have frame and bars, picture was just something I found online so any old 650c fork would do. I have to take some measurements to confirm the front wheel size though, I think it could be 24”.
I actually have a 650c disc somewhere. That could be a fun front wheel haha
Kiddo play date day today and got a free bag of super cute kids clothes my daughter will LOVE. So many kittens and stars and rainbows. Guess I gotta do laundry now though.
i do sometimes feel that i should respect the fact that not everyone wants to hear about kids and can generally rely on knowing which threads are most likely to have kid stuff posted. nobody should have to not post about their kids of course, but i try to keep it mostly to the places you’d expect to find it
If E-rock was around and has kids he’d be posting about the kid sized moncler puffy vests he found for $10 anyways, so fair game I say.
Anyways I found a groundscore Trelock dyno light on a mup today. Mounting bracket broken off but replaceable, wires snapped but enough there to splice something on.
Picked up a 1980 Peugeot PKN10E with a broken FD for $180. Needs some cleaning, cables, pads, etc. but the turd should polish quite nicely and I can spend some of the tires I have rotting away in my parts box. Might be able to double my investment.
Went to the bike kitchen to find a replacement FD and walked out a Suntour arx and a Huret Jubilee sans decal. Is eBay shitting me or is the Huret pusher worth some money?
I don’t know anything about this brand, but it has some nice parts I’m gonna strip off of it.
XT brake levers, parallel push brakes, nice XT 9 speed cassette, Bomber Z.2 BAM, XT/Mavic 517 wheels with XT skewers and very little brake wear.
I tried turning that Balance AL550 (3 posts up) into a polo bike but the squish fork was not giving me all of it. So I have been looking for something else.
FB marketplace served this up for $25, with the caveat that it was permanently attached to a trainer at the rear wheel. I overcame the borked trainer mechanism in the sellers driveway.
It was made by the seller’s previous BF somewhere in the Corvallis region. Big sleeve repair on the DT. The coloring around the BB and track ends seems like an attempt at a paint scheme, not concealing other repairs.
53cm TT (I’m normally a 56), but with reasonable stack I think this will make a fun polo bike. EC70 post, D-A cranks and ring, nicer VP pedals, Velocity flip-flop wheelset, Shimano calipers and levers, WTB Rocket V test saddle.
This is my 2nd ever sw8 fixxay, but not sure if I should maybe swap to freewheel for poloing.
Nice, score for the cranks alone if they’re 144bcd. I’m sad track stuff is going back up in price, though I guess it helps if I ever get around to getting rid of some fixieshit
