Score of the day / nouveau E-Rock'n

$5 apiece. I’ve always wanted a Sutherland’s, even if it is from 1995.

Bonus the seller had this sw8 4x4 Toyota:

I found this box with these painted figurines in it at the dump today. Looks late 70s.

So stoked. My 9yo just bought himself a d&d essential set.

You’ve probably figured it out by now but those may be old enough to be lead so don’t lick them too much

Those are certainly lead. Keep them painted.

Am I the only one seeing “2007 Females” on the lower left of that box

Grenadier models, probably a SKU and that’s how you got your collection of scantily clad awkwardly posed female figures.

I did spend my teenage years in and around game stores and this kind of stuff was pretty common.

Edit: found it!

Can’t help but notice the amount of exposed upper thigh on that box cover

Score!

Our dump doesn’t allow any scavenging at all. Sadface.

This box cover art is extremely horny.

To be fair, back in the day those were probably the only “females” in the games store on a regular basis

Seems like about once a year I get to really e-rock something locally.

$120 Surly Crosscheck withe 2x10 Rival, carpet fiber post, and a king headset.

I was looking just for some wheels for the nephewbikes, this is perfect and I can offload the parts and fund some more reasonable parts for the boys! Win-win.

Anyone need a size 46cm/52.9cm TT xcheck frame set?

where do you keep all these bicycles
do you have a barn?

Majority get cleaned, adjusted, and flipped. If they have some cool parts I want for a different build, I’ll swap those out, or just part out the whole bike.

The xcheck above I needed the wheels for nephew bikes. The rest is waiting to be rebuilt or more likely parted out (once I decide if I want to keep the brifters or not for converting the Sundeal to drop bars).

The Raleigh was cleaned, cables freed up, adjusted, tires aired, better pics, flipped. (After checking if any acquaintances needed a city bike).

OK so I really am going to have my own sale and clear more space for non-bike projects. However I also hate spending the whole year regretfully saying “I wish I had bought that thing at the bike swap”.

So… for a grandtotal of $230:

  1. tiny GF ProCaliber in carpet fiber, SiD Race set to 80mm, Avid Single Digit Ti brakes, X-O 9sp dangler and shifters, Magic Crossmax Ceramic rim brake wheels.
(this is gonna get stripped for parts).
  1. 1" xcheck fork w/ XTR brake missing pinch bolt. 100% glasses with Xtra rainbow lens, new chains, those giant pedals I’ve wanted to try, some really clean 110bcd RF Turbines.
