if you didnt have a brake on it, dont put one on (that amounts to fraud). if its not illegal where you live to ride without a brake then dont worry about it.
the insurance people will try to fuck you over. make sure when you talk to them that you do not give them permission to make records of the conversations.
but seriously, lawyer. it’ll make it so much easier.
dude if he ran you over with HIS front tire then he pretty much sideswiped you same as changing lanes without looking.
what the hell did the cops say about deciding who was at fault?
also was there a bike lane or are you entitled to have the whole lane?
all 50 states, entitled to a whole lane if you so desire, bike lane or not.
^^word
i believe it actually states to stay as far right as is safely possible
to me, safely possible means taking the whole god damned lane
I dont know where you are, but to initiate a claim here in oregon you have to file a DMV accident report. you have 72 hours.
the sp0k is all like NOES D:
aerospoke is hookin it up with a new one.

You’re buying a new spoke?
yeah, thats the plan.
i liked that wheel
some real decent people working at aerospoke. i took my front in for some hub issues and they replaced it within a day, re-machined my brake surface, and gave me a tour of the shop.
Do you have the spoke that’s M.I.A?
Well I guess when your product is a collosal turd you gotta have good customer service.

the bike lane is meant to keep out motorists, not to keep in cyclists.
now you have some sweet alleycat prizes to donate

I could have gotten acupuncture or a chiropractor or something out of it, probably
there is probably more that you can get out of this than just bike money, you should ask around to see if there’s a lawyer who specializes in bike stuff too
You, you personally are why the system is fucked up, you leach.
This. FUCK YOU ANITA.
Really? You think a chiropractor or accupuncture is leaching the system dry? That shit is a few hundred dollars at most. Any average Ambulance ride is more expensive than that. The person in the car could have killed her. They should have to do something. Now, trying to get a million dollar settlement out of it is bad for the system. But, honestly, fuck the system. Insurance companies are whats making it fucked up.

yea. dumb cupcake should have been happy to been involved in a hit-and-run. fuck you for wanting insurance to do the thing insurance is designed for and pay for things when the driver fucks something up.
Yeah, when you think about how much money people pour into insurance, compared to how much money insurance companies actually pay people…well, you know. It’s just like whoa.
I have no regrets getting a lawyer and getting 10 grand out of my accident. I was almost killed. My body caved in a lady’s windshield because she didn’t bother to look before she turned left. I’m uber lucky to have escaped the whole deal with only very minor shoulder pain on rare occasions and a tiny scar on my arm. Oh yeah and some rad bikes and some chiropractic visits.
Y’all need to calm down on Anita, it’s not like she wants some huge pain and suffering payout. Damn.
i think toast was being sarcastic.
and to answer this:
Do you have the spoke that’s M.I.A?
yes i do.
i want to make a display of the wheel and all of the pieces,
kind of like people do with famous people’s smashed guitars
it’s, it’s like a business or something. ew.

shit like health insurance shouldn’t be a business. the US pays more than any country for less care.
