that’s grass
i still stand by finish line for this. just don’t put it in anything other than a tube. i squirt some in once every 12-18 months or so and it works great. has prevented many flats.
In all honesty I think low pressure horizons would offer plenty enough traction on the pictured terrain in most conditions. Maybe I’d be concerned about railing turns at 30mph, or if everything was wet.
Has anyone used the RH loup loup round boys? Curious if they actually measure out to 38, I don’t have a lot of room to work with
Dude, don’t waste time with panaracer tires.
Get G-one speeeeeeeeds.
g one speeds come in 406x1.5”
Did you order it for your new fancy 20”?
We ride the same roads and paths so I trust your judgement and will order the 27.5 guys
I don’t think you’re wrong. Feel like i’ve basically been doing that for awhile (Byways → Ramparts) and just riding carefully, but starting to want a bit more.
on that note, Vittoria Terreno Drys arrived
They’re pretty sturdy. Gray is the new tan?
Vittoria loves their grey.
I didn’t know it existed but I would have if I did!
byways.
That grey would perfectly match rim brake residue after a rain storm
If I’m getting an air leak through a nipple hole on my taped rim after inflating, does this mean I need to reapply my tubeless rim tape?or should I apply more sealant?
yes
Just experienced this myself. Re-tape fixed it.
“Nipple hole” made me think of “It puts the tape on the rim or it gets the sealant again!”
Could be the valve stem if you have the kind with an o ring under the locknut. But usually it’s the tape.
Speaking of holes, how does everyone like to perforate their tape at the valve hole.
I like to get a sharpened spoke red hot and use it to melt a hole juuuuust big enough for the valve.
Often I just poke a hole with the tip of a closed valve and let the rest of it stretch the tape out as it moves through it. This can backfire by creating an aggressive tear but not enough for me to care.
I mostly used an awl of some sort with the same heating method when i have it handy. But, I have also barely cut X with razor and didn’t have much of an issue.
Puncture with nail point and send it
