“crochet style rims”

Wat

Means they have a hook.

early steel clincher rims like on Schwinns also lacked hooks

like many things in cycling…

Does that make calling it a “crochet hook” like saying “PIN number”?

i don’t think so. crochet is the activity and you need a crochet hook to do it in order to make the crocheted garment right?

The new tire measures smaller and weighs more than the used tire? Tires stretch and wear down.

Gonna try the challenge getaway. @EndpointBraden you gave these a spin, no?

Someone’s gotta wade into the mud

Love this comment someone posted over there

Tubeless non-woes. Caught a roofing tack today square in the middle of my tread. Heard thumping noise, thought I’d caught a piece of glass or something, stopped to wipe it of and there it was.

Popped the nail out, rolled a little forward to get the hole where the sealant would pool, chilled for a second and kept rolling. Lost very little pressure.

Can’t believe “tire stretch” is an accepted concept but “chain stretch” is not :colbert:

I have not used them, but fast business partner loves them.

Getaways are good. Fast on gravel not bad on pavement. Not great in mud but I think it’s dry where you are. Haven’t ridden them on much chunky shitty gravel so can’t speak to that.
