Souplesse Casings and Bike Soup - The Tire Thread

Oh, that’s a good price. I already consumed, paid about $47 per tire.

weird that there were only 3 available, and now just one

Reen is definitely the most supple. I’m not convinced they are any faster than the Vittoria.

the runnies feel like they have a wider acceptable pressure range than horizon or rampart. what’s that like with vittoria and irc?

1/2 lb less rotational weight per wheel? I mean, yeah maybe I’m being a weenie. I’ve got to quit these reens before they quit me. I don’t care about the weight of parts on my mtb but on my fop chariot I feel like it is warranted.

Rode the Bokens to work today and they’re quieter than the Ramparts, so that’s a win even if they end up not feeling that much better. So far they feel pretty nice.

What are the chances that the WTB Ranger will be available in 26x2.8 ever again or does anyone know where one is hiding that I can purchase for my dead ender?

Going to be doing road tubeless stuff very soon. What 30mm tire do I want? Probably going for Strada Bianca but also considering Corsa Control. Maybe Schwalbe jawns or gpk5000 if something cheat comes up on eBay. Or I drunk buy FMB Cobbles if I can find them.

Conti GP5K, like hands down

Schwalbe Pro One or whatever they’re calling their nice racing tire is also great. doesn’t last as long

Can your clear 32? May as well get the GP that size. Functionally no difference in efficiency between all sizes in that tire according to the new Bicycle Rolling Resistance testing.

Will I regret the Corsa G2.0 TLRs that I bought on sale?

Definitely can clear 32 in front. Probably in back

Can’t speak for TLR but the clinchers are reeeally good. But hey where are they on sale?

I bought some back in February, not an amazing sale but $110 for a 2-pack seemed good to me

Is the tarck spreadsheet updated for the best in class tires of the season

We do a ton of road tubeless and reports from customers who ride the shit out of their bikes

Vittoria Corsa/Control - most supple riding. softest side walls. least durable.
GP5K- Durable. They last long. they are fast and ride nice.
ENVE- Similar to the Contis. Set up tubeless easy. Made by Tufo who knows their shit.

The newest STR GP5K retails for like $92 per tire which I can’t wrap my head around, but everything is expensive these days.

I’m running the Strada Pro…. Bit faster than the Strada Bianca, I think.

Edit: To clarify, I can’t think of a better 30mm tire at any price.
