Maxxis Rambler is most supple in this class.
Vittoria Terreno Dry is real good too (sold out at Vittoria for a couple more months, so maybe hard to track down).
Pirelli Gravel H and Gravel M are both really cool and come in either 45 or 50.

Just to be clear, I have not taken it off.
I do not.
Ordered some Bokens.
i assume that the new GK have not fixed the neat hidden feature where you can never tubeless them a second time after pulling off a rim
Can attest.
Enjoying my not setup tubeless Bokens. Theyâve felt like the least turdly rollers in my sample group of those, Horizons, and light/âsuppleâ Ramparts.
ugh i wanna try some knobby bois but i donât want to take my reens off because i donât want to be relegated to chubes next time i put them on
There are ways. How many Voile straps do you own?
itâs the after i inflate it and begin to spin it rapidly under load that spooks me. and about 5 so far. does the first hole move further out as the strap gets longer?
Ah well the inflation part is the technically hard part for me. Never had one blow off tbh.
Will Thunder Butt sidewalls survive some hits from rock gardens? Trying to get a faster rolling tire on my lynskey for a 50 mile gravel ride in August.
I MTB on racing Ralphs in a couple sizes. Cut through top layer on a sidewall once but have never had a total failure in the sidewall. I would expect them to be similar
me and my xc buddies used to destroy regular TLE schwable tires nonstop on our bikes, though theyâve probably tweaked the formula since then and our whole thing was going as fast as possible on hardtails with relatively narrow rims.
so, i guess it just depends on the hit
i have some older but barely ridden 2.1 renegades i swiped back when i thought i might someday race cross on my rove, but that seems extremely unlikely. they could easily be yours
Debatable, those sidewalls are decidedly fragile, almost on par with Reen
shockingly enough iâm even in philly right now. probably wonât have time to meet up, but
If the rocks have edges, no
Just remembered the time we were trying to get one of my glitter-filled reens inflated at the Baltmore co-op. I think that experience alone would warrant never riding those tires again. Someone gave this last pair to me years ago because they were afraid to ride them. Iâve been seeing how long I can keep filling them with sealant and whether I can actually ride it down to showing a cord or two, which Iâve never managed on a heine tyre.
ymmv and all that but 1k miles in on my 650 x 48 juniper ridge standard casing tires on road, singletrack, gravel, all of that, and Iâve had no issues thus far. they roll better than any tire with similar knobbiness, they set up tubeless easily with orange seal, and theyâve not shown much wear. not sure i would buy them again because $$$ but i (alongside some of my pals doing the same stuff) havenât had issues
They most certainly do. Whatâs a 29 x 2.1-ish that runs well on loose over hard? I wonât buy from Big S tbh
