TAF, JA, or just WTH?

It’s got those Berd spoke strings too.

Bentonville is an unserious town. Silly fucking place.

Perplexing!

Clearly untouched. Being picked up from somewhere? I can only imagine this just got assembled at a store. No pedals, no cages, one million zits.

But what do you ask for at a store to wind up with that? Is this the harley bagger of young x gens?

…titanium!

Wait, no… titanium 32" wheels!

Wait, no… titanium 32" drop bar bike!

Wait, no… ADD A PINION!

I’m guessing it’s a show bike headed cross country to MADE

It was the guy who seemingly owns Viral Bikes, he had a little studio/shop underneath a coffee shop there.

I’ve always been intrigued by the pinion systems but have never ridden one.

Same, but I keep going back to ‘I’m nowhere near hard enough on bikes anymore to need one’. And they are not cheap.

This would be a bad-ass bike to have.

So you’re saying that my approach of judging a wheel size based on that one bike I had is wrong?

If pears is calling somewhere unserious I simply must experience it, if only for anthropological purposes.

It’s like if REI made an REIsvillle.

Felt transported back to 2011 stumbling on this ebay store.

Now I kinda wanna build a bamboo bike for Roli using this kit.

it’s like this but also to gain entry you must:

  1. own and only drive a sprinter van. you may be allowed in if you drive a pickup truck with a tailgate diaper for your bike, but you have to pay the poor tax
  2. have an e-bike
  3. vomit at the sight of any rock that is not part of a perfectly curated/manicured rock garden

They had paved berms. Do other places have pavement berms? I don’t want my berms paved, not ever.

Only been there once. It was fun, but the trails had a weird vibe. Like it’s too perfect.

Or maybe I’m a dickhead and was looking for something to complain about :man_shrugging:

no this is absolutely true. it’s like the disney world of mountain biking.

We have some places where they use those turf stones to armor the berms against wet weather or to shore up a bad bench cut.
