Talk me out of buying this...

Where do you want to go with that bike?

This is the planned trip. Suggests 40mm minimum tire width

oh yeah, good choice for that as far as I know.

I asked a friend because I thought he had done it, but he had done VTXL. A friend of his said that between VTXL, Brattleboro loop and this one, Green Mountain was his least favorite, fwiw.

Good info, thanks. Do you know the reason why?

This is so ambiguous…

I mean those are tires, in a bike frame, it’s all good

I think that @Hazlewood had one

I just asked my guy at Pacific cycle. I’ll see if he can find an answer.

edit: 700x35 is published max

I did! It was fine, I think I had 35 mm tires on it but it was gen 1, the newer ones take larger tires.

When I sold it, the person I sold it to was kind enough to send me a video of him slowly circling a parking lot shirtless

Is this the same generation you think?

From the ad, this is a 35 and there’s clearly more room.

I think that’s a newer color scheme so I’m guessing that it is the new version. But definitely not an expert in GT Grades

Ended up picking it up. Has a 38 in back and can fit a 38 in front. Rides nice, fits perfect, needs maintenance

when I’m right I’m right

though “this Craigslist bike will be all fucked up” isn’t exactly nostradamus level prognostication

I mean it’s like chain lube and limit screw adjustment, nothing crazy.

My friend rated the growler ride the worst of the routes in vt because he isn’t a huge beer consumer and the rout wasn’t as remote or pretty as the other two.
