That's a nice rack thread you had there; shame if something were to happen to it again

All the bad parts of a nitto in a lousy finish

Neat. The $80 one with adjustable height struts seems like a good deal.

I’m into these racks. Looks like they need a US distro…

What the hell, put it in three threads!

I’m conflicted about the flat-packability and the aluminum struts. Flat pack is nice if you have a travel bike. The separate struts are nice so you can customize your own strut length if you don’t have the 140mm bosses.

But if I’m paying $200ish for a rack, I want the entire thing brazed from chromoly, for ultimate strength and lack of wiggle.

I’m seeing a lot more than $200

Looks like that includes the bag but still steep!

I mean, bag is $250 that makes the rack $300

Estimate Powder was $50 ea for a run (probably less)

5 bends
8 welded/brazed joints
2 rack tabs
1 rack slat
1 threaded attachment
2 struts cut and formed, with 2 holes drilled
2 nuts 2 bolts

I did it because I’m lazy and I just want a rack and a bag to show up at my door that fit together with zero dithering. I could spend hours trying to get a custom rack made or a custom bag or whatever but this is easy even if kinda too expensive.

Also just found a grip of play money in my paypal.
