Good point. I think new guy should conduct an experiment where they attempt to carry a bunch of asparagus above the front wheel of each bike and report back about the condition of the asparagus after each experiment.

If any of these bikes were stolen, you’d have no hope of getting them back. Take a risk with the bar tape, and maybe graduate to a sticker, and see where that goes.

If the suggestion of any color of bar tape is ugly to you, then it makes sense why all your bikes are boring.

Black tape is fine, but not when it gives your bike that “fresh off the shop floor” aesthetic.
