I genuinely love Breezers, and wish that any of them fit me. They’re like and Ascended Surly.
I keep meaning to scrounge up a set of shorty bar ends to do this on my Soma Ospreys. I love the position for getting tukt but just want a little something to hold on to.
They look truly wonderful/hideous on albatross bars, I love it. I think once the bars are wrapped and a little bulkier it’ll look more natural though. But if you’re gonna use em who cares.
If I could, I would have run @igor 's casey/crazy bars, but this is my weird version. @johnasavoia I’m not sure I’ll like the parallel bars, but with the extensions it’s feeling like I could get a decent aero position on our long rides.
Shifters are cramping my style in there, and as much as I want them handy, I’d rather have room for my hands. Might move the shiftys to the center by the stem but it’s not my favorite. Anyway now that its clear others have tried this before, this is turning into a dithering post instead of just straight up bad handlebruhs. I’ll see myself out…
Love those exaggerated Jones bars you’ve got there. I couldn’t find a good spot for my Onza’s on my old On One Marys, but you seem to have something with this Albatrokoloko.

That particular brand/model was really popular during my early teen years.
The last pic of him riding the bars brings it together, but damn it’s ugly.
marginal stupid looking gains
Naero Bars
Honestly probably more significant than anything else introduced on the bike. Rider position matters a lot, I’d say marginal is under selling it.
I understand the concept and stand by my assessment
I’m no TT expert, but seems like the guy on the right is all scrunched up (elbow/knee overlap), and the guy on the left is in a more natural position where he can more easily take deeper breaths. Maybe they’re the same amount of aero but isn’t delivering oxygen to muscles similarly important?
(agreeing with @ProCracknfailBro on rider position)
aero air is everything
The answer is to sell those to the next sucker
This is the conclusion I just came to, after scratching them up a bit to get the barends on. I’m thinking the next step is full drop-bar conversion (but this is the tandem I was trying to sell a mere 2 months ago).
In looking up imagery of Suntour Power Thumb Shifters being mounted on drops, I came across this picture which made me lol:
I’ll probably just try to get the thumbies mounted on either side of the stem
And lo, choices were made. Pretty sure this will be temporary because I don’t know how long I can parade around grabbing those lil bar dicks.
may be more acceptable with perhaps a quieter bar tape?
That, and no figure 8. If it becomes less temporary of a setup, it might get a full brooks wrap
