I would love to see Campagnolo see a major resurgence. The only reason I switched to SRAM was because for a long time Campy only offered stupid gear ratios but they’re getting much better. Campy also seems much, much better at maintaining long-term support for their products.
If I ever get another bike it will definitely be Campy. Hopefully they will go wireless in the next couple years

Agreed. I got real excited about the chorus hydro stuff…and then saw the price for a cassette. Ouch.
Am I being grumpy? Coming from 50€ 105 cassettes, 175€ is a tough jump

They’ve got a standlight, but it’s fairly dim and runs down in 90 seconds or so (at least with the handful of them I bought a couple of years ago.)

For sure… it’s been a while since I ran campy before, but I always felt like the chains and cassettes were more durable. XX1 chains and cassettes cost more but they are shown to be much more durable than NX and GX. Hopefully a similar case.

Finally got around to scrounging some 9spd downtube levers, so I’m going to move some things around on my Atlantis.
- Sugino 3x cranks instead of the OX601d 2x
- Downtube shifters instead of the bar ends
- Tidy up my dynamo wiring and mounting
- Cloth bar tape for Grant points
- Swap VO post for a Ritchey for a little less setback

The Sram Force cassette i got was something like $180. It isn’t nearly as pretty.
I’m building some old road frames I can’t bring myself to part with back up.
Dented toptube 531 ooold Dawes is going to get some townie bars kinda like the VO left bank joints, and singlespeed and Wald basket. It had been sw8 fixied in a past life. I’m going to get some good medium reach black dual pivots. I’ve always wanted those fancy VO ones, but they cost more than the bike’s worth.
Fuji Opus III- This takes short reach brakes. I’m thinking maybe ride to office park and lock up and don’t care. I’m not sure which bars. Bullhorns? Klunker bars on a road bike? Ditheridoo.

I’m making some bad decisions around a 38 YO Stumpjumper frame. The dumb thing is spaced 124mm in the rear, otherwise it might have been a working bicycle object by now. Hubs, rims, and tires are ordered. I guessed at the seat post size and lost, so the next size down is also ordered. Bars and stem options exist in the parts mess, not sure if they‘ll be fine or not. Still shopping for brakes.

edit: I’m saved from almost all of this vintage bike devilry by dint of being very very tall, otherwise I’d have like fifty half finished projects like this.
English, thankfully. How do I know that? I just interrupted my breakfast to thread in a spare bottom biscuit. 
There may be shenanigans needed for chainline. I bought a crank and saddle from other Igor for this bike, but not sure if that crank and parts mess bb will get me there.
Oh, I just realized, this bike will have parts from both Igors.

I had figured a good workaround to the brakes being worth more than the rest of the bike might be just ball out on tires, saddle, pedals, and grips, to get the numbers up.

Need some help deciding what to do with my Surly. It’s currently set up as a single speed CX bike, but I just got a full GRX groupset to put on…something.
I really love the Surly as a single speed, but I think it’d also be really fun with the GRX groupset, especially for MidSouth, in case my new sponsor bike doesn’t come in time?
What would you do??
I would build grx onto something more fun than a surly personally. If I am going to spend the money on cabling and single use shit like that I would want it to be at least a little jazzy.
