Well, here’s a compounding factor. I just got signed to Cannondale (thanks @ProCracknfailBro for the introduction!!) but we don’t know the state of inventory to get me my bikes.
Midsouth is in 3 weeks and I know the Surly fits me. So, even if it’s just for a few races, it’ll be better than riding a borrowed bike that doesn’t fit?
I wake up everyday thanking Mother Nature that I don’t work in sourcing. Still so bummed bikes are proving hard to pin down for ambassadors! Mega hyped that you accepted us though

But now I’m thinking of picking up tubeless rims too for the Fuji because sale. I don’t think it can take more than a 28. Are the VO everythingbagel rims too wide at 22mmm inner width? Website says 38mm to 2.4", so I’m guessing not.
As much as i want to sell you a set of rims, 28mm is too narrow for the voyager rims.

stem made by @rancid_burple its 31.8 4 bolt 9/8 quill. fork was too long and i’ll eventually cut it but right now it looks like my stem is wearing a turtleneck and thats good enough for a lol.
probably not gonna use drop bars. just hangin parts.
tange fork which was the reason for custom stem and tange headset because it would have been far too easy to get a 9/8 threadless fork and use a headset i already had.
and i got these on the way but im not gonna use the matching levers because paul levers are made of knives.

WTH considering buying a junkier modern bike to ride around and dgaf about, vs. fixing up one of the cool old crusty bikes I have kicking around. Or just riding a good bike and being worried about it? Why am I like this?! My sudden interest in dithering together the old Stumpjumper is mainly having a bike that can be put on a bus (no front rack, no fenders) for all those times I never want to ride a bus with a bike because of anxiety about the bike rack already being full and missing whatever appointment I’m taking the bus for in the first place, which would only be to get my hair cut.
