Put some SPDs on the Endpoint to replace the ATACs I have used for the last 10 years. Damn, I forgot what it felt like to not have that slippy, free-floating feeling of ATACs. I think I like it. It feels a lot less sloppy.
Also, the cleat positioned as far outboard on the shoe as possible (for minimum Q) definitely brings my feet closer together than on the Times, even after I do that ākick my feet togetherā thing.
Clipping in is a little weird, though Iām pretty sure Iāll get used to it. That might have as much to do with the different cleat position than anything.

Yes. Times have a narrower q than spd
XT plus a matched Shimano shoe gives a near road pedal like feeling atmo. For yolo riding itās way better than Time. Only thing better is the Speedplay syzr but those are fussy to maintain so fuckit.

Fixed my derailleurs! After all these years I finally get how to balance B and āPā tension to get the G pulley good and tukt. Makes me feel like an elite mech but thisāll pass Iām sure.

Could this be the mystery buzz(?) from inside my shifters?
hmmmm. What makes things buzz ? Could be. The one on the end of the ratchet/pawl, you wouldnāt think would cause a buzz, there is one on the end of the paddle mechanism that seems to break off as well. I didnāt see a failure on the one that holds the brake lever on, its pretty big. Iād probably start by tweaking the bolt that tightens the brake assembley to the handlebar. They are very simple brakes to play with if you want to dither. SRAM online parts PDF here.
I have a mystery buzz in a not-broken Alfine 8spd shifter, and Iām pretty sure itās the red needle in the gear indicator. Anything is possible!
Took the fun purple grips off the Katu and replaced them with boring black because it seemed like too much pressure to accessorize with other fun colors and I just canāt be bothered.
