Can’t turn, don’t want to

Oh man, I had an ancient Raleigh city bike with a steering lock. I always thought I should be able to ride at least a small distance but NOPE immediate foot down, could barely make it one wheel revolution.

i’m wary of that double tang setup. what rack is that again?

Yeah I might find a better 90deg bracket to go from the upside-down star nut to the tang…
I can’t find it online - it was hard to find initially… the invoice calls it “Vincita C001 Front Carrier Rack”

And here it is in silver: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Cyclists-Choice-Yfa-23C-Front-Bicycle-Mini-Rack-Silver/327932371

it has been noted before that this rack is RIPE for adding wald baskets to

Wasn’t sure where to post this, but if you have SRAM DUB cranks and are worried about mangling the alloy crank fixing bolt, a steel version is available.

The fork I have on the dirty jumper has always been in need of some care. The stanchion on the left side has had a huge gash in it for a while. I sourced an old Pike CSU with the same dimensions and swapped it in with some new seals.

The steerer was always a little short too, so I gave myself a few more spacers. The hammered (literally) CK got swapped for a less bling CC 10.

Mounted the shiney nerd cranks on the trainer for agility in the virtual mountains.

And some his/her pedals so sup and I can share a bike. We’re close enough in size it’s possible, but having to swap the seatpost back and forth to dial the fit is almost as much a PITA as swapping the bike.

Weirdly(?) 9 speed stuff feels a bit more solid on the trainer than the 11-speed setup on my bike. Maybe it’s just time for a new chain for me.

His and hers seatpost/saddle assemblies?

You know it. Still can’t get this Aspin to feel right

I put a double barrel brake lever and hacked together a make-shift cable hanger out of a front reflector bracket. Am I banned?

Pretty much only ride this bike to walk the dog with the leash in my left hand so a left brake lever is useless. Spacers are aesthetic. They look awful but I’m replacing them with one that will look a bit better I just want to paint it first. Or I have a bmx quill stem I might use if I still hate it.

9/8 head tube? I have a couple of real hangers you may have for postage if this proves too flaky.

Oic, 1" threaded? Porkchop may have some old dia compe stuff for that

It’s 21.1 with a 1 1/8 adapter. I’ll check porkchop! I think a 1 1/8 wouldn’t be sturdy enough.

There were identically manufactured reflector brackets that had cable stops in them so you’re fine

Ash bought a big bag of giant googly eyes for some reason. I put a couple on my bike.
