I was thinking more along the lines of an industrial injection molding process.
An edible chess set would make for a nice christmas gift, made of injection molded meats and cheeses. You get to eat the pieces you capture.

You may recall my misadventure in the bad handlebar thread… luckily I never even rode that must-ache setup. 7yrs ago we got this bike with drop bars, and almost immediately I converted it to a VO townie special. Well things came full circle but this time its compacts and aero levers. Plus I finally reconnected the drum!

The bands on the power thumb shifters are close in width to one of the hose clamp sides and can be used to make bigger bands for mounting on the center section of the bar. You just have to file a bigger hole in the hose clamp stock.

I had considered asking about different clamp straps but a friend had the stem shifter assembly so it was the cleanest solution… @drwelby are you referring to the threaded hose clamps or this stuff?
this kind, if I remember right you just have to knock out the solid part between two holes. I’ll go look later and see if I still have the band from my drag brake lever in my shifter box.
