You should mount a hall effect sensor on the BB so it makes Theramin-like sounds when you pedal.

It’s perfect

Love the chairpole hanging rudely down out of the post hole like an old brit at the beach with a ball containment problem

Leveled out the chair on the fixed gear and it’s much better

Did some underbiking. Took the fixed on some MTB trails that were less mild than I thought. On road gearing and tire pressure was not ideal, lots of walking up hill. Still really fun.

Reached out to a trusted bike bro to give mainbike an overhaul this next week because I’m now too busy to do anything and NGL I’m kind of scared the creaking might be worse than a bb or hub bearings. Looked up local bike guys for just in case :frowning:

Two days ago - planned on replacing the weak AF stock calipers on my Super le Tour with a set of R539s. I had tried before but the fork mount tang on my rack was fouling the chunkier Tektro, and I didn’t really feel like pulling everything apart to bend in some more clearance.

Well I decided to fix that issue only to discover that those calipers don’t actually have the width I need for my fenders.

A lovely hour of disassembly and reassembly with no actual change. My brakes still suck and now I don’t like this build as much anymore.

could this get fixed with better pads? can’t fix ultimate power, but can make things a little bitier up front

I need to try that. I really wanted to use the dual pivots so that I had a good option to singlespeed it in the future. With these old single pivots I need it to stay a fixed gear so I’ll actually have a brake that works.

How wide do you need the brakes to be?

I put this dinger on the Lorry. It’s loud and should prevent future scolding.

I have a set of dia compe center pulls that will clear your fender

It took me two a day and a night but I swapped the RD cable and housing.

It shifts way better now, :tarckbear: knows what was in there coz it would barely shift at all before.

Swapped the pads and cleaned the chain, too. Everything is nicer now.
