I was able to add air to an externally routed 27.2 xfusion like that. Could make it punch the nuts with a vengeance. Not sure if yours is exactly the same. This might help? https://www.mtbr.com/threads/adding-air-to-x-fusion-hilo-125-dropper.950184/
Pretty sure this is your old x fusion.
From Fred? Then yeah, fill it up. It is a fine line between puncher and “hard to press down” iirc.
Shock pump for this, then, not floor pump?
Shock pump. It’s a lot of psi
The BB on the tachyon was too narrow so I sorted through my pile for a longer bb and took the opportunity to photograph my hoard again
I love posting UN-54 fan posts on my social media because 98% of the people in my life have no fucking clue what I’m on about
Gotta catch 'em all
Replaced the entire back wheel on my 2016 Niner Rip9 because one spoke broke under power, from fatigue. I started mentally working through sourcing two dozen weird straight pull spokes and the associated double threaded nipples needed for the old, narrow, solid bed tubeless Easton rim and just gave up. Found a modern-ish DT370/M1900 wheel with a 30 mm wide rim, normal spokes and nips, and the requisite obsolete 142 mm TA hub spacing for just a bit more cash.
Anyone know anything about the 370 hub?
370 is turdly but can be upgrade to Ratchet. LN. Requires the LN kit, two DT specific tools, a bench vise, and the strength of two caffeinated shop rats.
I have the M1900 wheelset on my XC bike. I think the rims are EX 511.
It’s a decent wheelset. I have around 70 hrs dragging my clyde self around on them.
Also the DT specific tools can be had on aliex for not too much. At least not as much as what DT is asking for them. Likely good enough for a home mechanic only doing the job once.
i have some E11EVEN (eleven?) road wheels that fax machine sold me with those hubs. they are fine.
I got mine off ebay and they were fine.
This worked out great, rode the new wheel last night. I thought I could feel the wider rim as less mid-turn skittishness, but also our very dry trails saw rain last weekend and are in great shape now so who knows?
The slow change from snappy to sloppy shifting is almost imperceptible to me. Replaced chainrings, cassette, chain and rear derailleur on the HG.
Spendy bit of maintenance, but I sure wish this was done before my last trip. Think it would have made a big difference.
Modern bikes and components are so nice.
Few weeks ago, but swapped in 9000 cronks and a Ti seatpost, not so lowkey want to find a Controltech TiMania stem to round out the room
I love those Blackhearts. How does that front cable/hose routing work out in practice? It looks like the hose would be sticking out at a really awkward angle.
I’ve been pretty impressed with just how good a bike it is. Does road, dirt, a bit of everything pretty darn well. Hose/cable routing isn’t anything too weird or out of the norm. I suppose I cut my heat shrink longer than I’d have liked, but the angles and whatnot are fine
Looks sick, their marketing copy is kinda hokey, but those bikes look solid.
I like seeing smaller brands offering performance bikes in aluminum.
also purple bike good.
