What did you do to your crosscheck today?

Did the shut down traffic ride. High rise bars are still uglier, but way more fun. Wider is not always better

Disagree

Polo frame arrived and the build is the most pieced together thing I’ve ever had. Currently on $20 collective wheels with a Chris king cog. Monocog is still complete too!

Saw an old dude riding on color blend tires today

I added some lash points to Ash’s bike so it can be used as an actual cargo bike rather than just a kid carrier. We’re gonna need a bigger bungee net.

Which tires and what size?

The polo bike fucking rips. Needs some fine tuning though

OG 700x32 gravelking slicks, although i’m switching them out for 700x32 WTB expanses tomorrow.

the setup was easy as hell but i soon learned about the several large tread punctures that are just pissing sealant out, used 4 bacon strips before i just decided to get better tires.

With or without the mallet?

Without. Borrowed small parts of three of my other bikes to get this going, so I had to ride it on a slow social ride.

Ditched the dt swiss skewer on the front wheel and it stays in place now!

The only things I know about polo are from watching my kid play water polo. But, it seems like a half cab would be a good defensive tool.

They do more wheel pivots. Rear wheel pivots using the mallet are hard. Haven’t figured those out yet

re-waxed and leather treated some acorns i had sitting on the shelf
