The bikes I took apart to put the polo bike together are mostly together. Have the parts at least. Fixed doesn’t have a brake, fine, and the dropper seems to not work anymore
Pulled the cassette and reinstalled it and now my MTB is quieter. I thought the noise was the internal cables but I guess I was wrong.
Washed most of the bikes today.
Yesterday I serviced drooper on Enduro, replaced shfity cable, swapped TRP brakes from it to DH bike and the Saints from DH to Enduro. Didn’t have to use new hose, either! Really thinking I am going to try selling it again since I have ridden it two times in the last year. Debating if I need new tires on it or not. At least may replace rear since it will be cheap. Or go tanwall also cheap. Oh, also put the new 2024 X2 on it I got after sending og in for service to Fox.
Finally took my orange out of the travel case and blew off all the Oregon dust. Intended to do my long long overdue lower and air can services today but I think it’ll wait another year
Put 47mm Vittoria Terreno Drys on the Vaya, and goddamn it’s a magic carpet ride. Can’t wait for the LBS to come back from summer break to put on the GRX.
Cleaned up some rusty spots from big paint chips and poorly sprayed the midstay junction brazing repair and the entire back half of a frame with some old spray paint.
Turned out better than I expected, but is pretty rough once you start getting close.
Need to figure out what to do for the bigger chips in the not white sections.
Nail polish
looks great from my house!
I put on some purple AliExpress pedals and saddle since I had no platforms in my horde and I wanted to try some different saddle shapes so I bought 2 of those and I’ll see which one I like more. Also fixed my dynamo light, I found a spare wire in my stash that had spades on already and was plenty long for my needs so I tossed that bad boy on and it worked.
I had to do all the work on the ground because I’m still not allowed to lift anything over 20lbs after my hernia surgery. I got cleared for easy rides today so I really wanted those things done.
Brakes just need fine tuning on the basket bike. Put silver high rise bars and black sparkly death grips on the fixed.
Might be remembering this wrong, but did someone have a matching seatpost for this stem? Need a 27.2
No, but I’m kinda half looking for that very stem (if its 100mm)
It’s 90
It me. Lemme track it down tonight to confirm, but 99% sure its still in the bin.
Wow, if I’d known Deda DMP futures would be like this I’d have kept my stem
Is this considered a rarestem? Also have a mutant and a cinelli alter stem. Really into weird bike parts
MTB is a tire swap away from being rideable! Fork probably needs rebuilt, but that’s another day
Where can I source that paper though?
That’s the free kit that Restrap sends you to get a custom bag with them.
It’s pretty slick - you can just send them photos after you get the kit and follow the instruction video.
