I’m on year 2 of the DT tape that came on my wheels. The tape that came on my RF wheels lasted 5 years, so .
Your RF wheels had DT tape as well?
Started building up the rlt for winter gravel. Swapped everything except cranks from broken new bike. Cranks are cheap eBay ea90 47/32. Somehow the rear brake hose wasn’t long enough…took it to the shop because I don’t feel like dealing with it wet dicks in my living room.
Finally finished putting my new wheel together. This Ryde rim is pretty junky. It’ll either break immediately or last forever.
1.5” green marathon is the skinniest tire I’ve ridden in years. Here it is next to the 1.75 it’s replacing. Seems dinky af but the 1.75 barely clears the chain stays. I can get it to rub if I lean the bike a little.
Do all Bullitt frames have such terrible clearance or is it just mine?
Sick.
I gotta get my second light back up and running.
I get shoulder tapped regularly at stop lights by guys wanting to know how to do what they are seeing and I just have to shrug my shoulders and peddle away
yes it’s their worst quality
they should really make the chainstays longer instead of pretending to be tukt, but you can nerd your way to some more clearance by making longer dropout inserts
I was thinking about that. I definitely had more clearance with the horizontal dropouts when I had igh.
Would that be a thing your buds at cyclefab would make for me you think?
They should have the frame interfaces modeled already from previous dithers
Awesome. I emailed Colin. Thanks Fred.
Did some dithering today while I should’ve been working.
Took the tubeless Tufo tyres off the Pub wheelset on the budget Wilier and swapped them with a pair of tube-only Schwalbe Ones, with TPU tubes. The Tufos were reasonably cromulent but I can’t help but feel that they were slightly slow and turdly. The 25mm Ones measure out to 27.5mm on the Pub rims, which is about as big as the Wilier can handle. Hopefully they feel better…
I didn’t realize that it was possible for my bike to get any dorkier. Thanks spurcycle. I’m not even sure that this thing’ll even be useful.
I love having mirrors, being able to see things behind you without a full head turn is boss. I confess to having double mirrors on the traffic side of some bikes.
I’ve given very serious thought this year to putting a mirror on the Boost. The usefulness feels like it would overcome the dorkiness.
I coopted a bar end mirror into a rack mirror. Absolute game changer, to the extent that I’m at risk of mirroring my cool bikes too.
Yep, one commute and I’m sold. I gotta tighten that little set screw that holds the mirror in place more, it got bumped out of place a lot on my ride this morning. It juuuuuuust fits under the rain canopy.
I just walk around everywhere with two evt mirrors strapped to my glasses
Ain’t nobody sneaking up on you!
