Someone gets it!
Got a little too blase riding in the rain last night and ate it. Havenât had a crash since ~2016, so I had a good run.
The bolt threaded into the fork crown to attach the rack got stripped out in the crash, so I might need to do a helicoil or get a crash replacement from Canyon.
At least tell us you fucked up a car
There was no Klingon warrior glory in this crash, just dishonorable shame.
Got this hybrid in order with some wheels from @jimmythefly, now all it needs is a front tube and Iâm too proud to go to the LBS I used to work at. Mucked up the clear coat on the carbon bars, but I donât anticipate this bike will see enough rough terrain for that to matter.
nice grips
I love them, thanks for the recommendation.
That is their supplied axle? Damn. But it that DT swiss style that allows you to adjust it, right?
Put a Praxis M30 bb in to my Jamis frameset, cleaned up the top of the steer tube with a file so the cap of the expander plug sits flush, and then spent a good amount of time polishing it.
Pleasantly surprised at how nice itâs looking. Plus, while pulling the BB and headset all the internal parts are in great shape. Looks like the bike was ridden a decent amount but well built and maintained.
Finally nstalled the brake for BMX bike that was floating my garage and only lost one bolt thatâs easily replaced!
Yes but wouldnât it be nice if I didnât have to use a tool?
bet you could extend that interface with a hex bit holder and get enough clearance to spin the lever
how is that not a tool?
Yeah, seems like the trainer designers couldâve given a bit more clearance for the tons of bikes with a thruâaxle lever.
Did bearing service on the marin e bike I am trying to sell. Rockers the most fucked. Then none were going in straight (for rocker). Luckily friend showed me that knipex is your friend to start getting them in line. Only one of Marinâs supplied ones was bunk, so did replace that.
Polished bike up, hope to take some photos tomorrow.
hope I remember the knipex thing!
