What did you do to your crosscheck today?

I’m 189, trying 165’s on the mountain bike. Wish me luck!

i’ve been rocking the 155s on my mtb/bikepacking bike for the last year or so. mostly just wanted to try em because they were on craigslist for cheap and i was intrigued!
it took a bit of getting used to at first. i like that there is less of a chance of pedal strike which compensates for my bad climbing technique. i don’t like that i have less leverage, so had to drop my ratio from a 32:20 to 28:20. all in all feels fine, I don’t have any plans to go back to running longer cranks

Are you on Zinns?

I don’t remember you towering over me by that much in person, but it’s been a while. I think my legs are pretty short for my height.

There’s a huge guy I see pretty regularly on a humongous titanium Zinn. The headtube is longer than my forearm. He’s truly a majestic mamil.
I haven’t peeped the cranks but I will next time I see him.

FWIW, 175’s feel great for my 32 inseam on the road.

I’m 165 on the mtb to see if it’s worth it to mitigate pedal strike. I seem to have terrible timing with root gardens.

I don’t know what length my cranks are

The cranks on all my bikes are probably all different lengths probably.

I would be curious to see a large-scale analysis and plot of cycling biometrics, filtered thru a nice dashboard
