Nice garage door
Man that looks great
I broke down and bought a tailfin frame bag, pretty nice
I finally wrapped the bars on the old 70s Italian bike I’ve been fixing. Then rode it around the block and realized I don’t like the brake hood positions. RIP.
throwed some igor cranks on here which fixed my janky chainline issues, and looks great too
i’m slowly switching all the bits over to silver but it’s a slow process.
Took the free red basket off and put on two collapsible baskets from the hardware store that fit better (same width as frame). Drilled holes for drainage and added cargo bungee.
Also took off rear rack, cos havent used it in years, and put it on Sup’s bike

Got onto the hope thingo today. Did a very short ride outside the house and the doofer off the end of the brake cable flew off like it was shot out of a BB gun i had so much pressure on it. Brake calipers feel pretty shit. Pistons not moving that freely.
I think you need cable doublers so you can have ALL the brakes!
Cleaned up the sup bike (a total used bike score) but didn’t want to overhaul it
Soapy water, shop towels, and wd40 are good enough though
There was a lot of grime around the brakes and derailleurs that would have needed a brush or prolonged soak to get off
I might need to..
Don’t dabble in doublers, you can just have the rim brakes be the ones connected to the brake levers on your tt bars.
I’ve always wanted to try that.
So you’re saying with superboost you can back pedal on a 51T cassette and not drop the chain or did a 55 CL mess us up?
link?

Between all of those you should be able to do most things. Its important to know the pitch of your thread and whether or not the female end of your fork is threaded, or can take an insert with a smooth outer surface. There are other inserts that have a gazillion different outer and inner widths/threads/depths etc.
Honestly? No idea. I just have an AXS boost bike with the ring as far inboard as possible.
I’ve test ridden a few super boost bikes and not had any issues (I think). But I don’t think I have the tendency to back pedal much.
Not implying it’s a skill thing, but the back pedal - drop chain thing seems to be isolated enough I think there’s a correlation with how much a rider back pedals when doing whatever.
This is 100% anecdotal. But I think Shimano is more prone to this. But who the hell knows.
I think it depends a lot on the chain-stay length eh? It used to be a thing in the early days on sram, but they were the only ones doing big (42 tooth) cassettes to start with. I have a VERY short buddy with deep pockets. He could never get it to work. A lot has changed since then tho.
Sounds like the mysteries of drivetrain, forever lost to infinite chainlines.
Shimano 12 speed XT on a 55CL 32 chainring 51 cassette is fine for 2 half ratchets but anything more with a full rotation drops the chain. Compared to a 52CL with 11 speed 32x46 gives me endless backpedals but then again I’m not doing crazy trials moves so…
