My pogies felt way more restrictive and uncomfortable than I remembered them being. Then I realized that they were on the wrong sides of the bars lol. I swapped them and they’re 100% better. I feel silly.
Put snow tires and a battery cozy on the Quick Haul. Studded tires go brrrrrrr.
Hung up all the crosschecks at my Mom’s house on a DIY rolling rack I built.
Not bad for $50 in materials. Of course as soon as it was done I immediately thought of several improvements. Oh well maybe I’ll make another one for my sister’s house.
The crosschecks were hung by the garage door with care,
in the hopes that Saint Sheldon soon would be there;
the riders were nestled all snug in their beds,
while visions of singletrack danced in their heads.
guy i know was selling an OG 1” steamrolleur so i obviously jumped on that deal immediately.
un-built the schwinn which will now be wall art once i detail it, and transferred all that over to the steamrolleur.
gonna put a different brake and better tires on it and put some wide bars on.
One of the handful of bikes I regret selling. I bought an OG steamroller not long after starting my first shop job in 2001. I didn’t fully appreciate the genius that was the steamroller at the time.
Other regretted bike sales?
I wish I still had my hooligan with the blood stains on it.
regrets are for social situations.
bikes are for selling.
Don’t sell any bikes then you can just regret buying them.
I regret selling my Crosscheck. Especially since it got totaled days after it got back on the road.
i regretted selling my first steamroller (threadless version, c.2007) for a long time, but it was slightly too small for me.
this one fits perfectly and i like the color better, so it’s a win/win actually
speaking of fixed gears, I hung all the parts from my old bike on the big block I bought but did not need. still don’t think I like white bikes, but maybe it’d look better with all black wheels.
ck right side up is chefs kiss
Nah silver wheels are good. Maybe silver everything else?
maybe i’ll just take it to get powdercoated
polished shamals are what I always think about on white track frames
DKlein the Tastemaker says we should all be running deep crabon rims.
We did a limited batch of bright green Caad9 frames back when Cannondale did team orders. Wish I had that still.
