If you have the energy to get worked up over Urban Outfitters, you need to ride your bike more.
i got some cool pillows there. dont hate that plce at all. sometimes they have cool cheap shades too.
also i buy jeans to ride in at forever 21
i don’t know how this thread got so derailed, but all i wanna say is that i get equally pissed off by people that think they deserve a pat on the back and a gold start for assembling all their outfits from pure “vintage” thrift store crap. i do not care.
i don’t care if you shop at urban outfitters, american apparel, h&m, whatever.
but IMO it’s just as lame when people think they’re being ‘anti-hipsters’ and have this conversation:
“OMG nice flannel! Where’s it from?”
“Goodwill! $3!!! And it’s so soft… so much better than the CRAP they sell at UO!”
“OMG I know! I got this vintage belt buckle at Goodwill too!”
“…You guys talking about Goodwill? I got this Tupac shirt there! It’s so badass! LOL! I’m so white and it says Thug Life.”
“Duh! They’d probably charge $24 for that at UO! Nice find!”
“We rule for saving so much money! Anyway wanna take our Vintage NJS track frames out for a ride?”
“Nah I’m going to a bar, it’s $3 PBR’s all night.”
if urban outfitter’d santorum’s 06 campaign maybe the youth vote could have spared this poor girls feelings

All you haters suck my thrift store Pendleton collection.
I got my Notorious BIG beer stein (which I fill with root beer) at UO.
Also when I see UO I think of Ultima Online, not Urban Outfitters.
pk you so hard.
Every time someone mentions the senator’s name, I think of this.

I edited this a couple times, but basically:
If you think it’s cool to go buy shittily made disposable stuff at H&M and Urban Outfitters t-shirts designed by dorks with graphic design BFAs to appeal to sorority girls, but lame to pick up Carhartts and Levis for $5 or Pendletons shirts for $3 or yeah my fucking Tupac shirt for $2, you’re a bigger fucking dipshit than I thought.

i said i didn’t give a shit where you bought your clothes; when did I say it was “cool” to buy clothes at urban outfitters?
but way to be offended that i wasn’t revering your bargain irony hunting… that’s exactly what i’m talking about. everyone wants a pat on the back for using a thrift store and talking about the great deals they found
don’t care
edit: nvrmnd. this is a little too hipsters-calling-eachother-‘hipster’ for my taste
if you really think that buying well made recycled clothing for dirt cheap is analogous to buying disposable H&M shit… whatever.
if the shirt I happen to have is emblematic for you of all that is lame about people buying $2 t-shirts… whatever.
i really want this shirt:

My BIG shirt > that, but that one is a damn good one. I would buy it in a second.
“Juicy” is just so fucking awesome.
Are we still complaining about UO? Cause I’m into doing that but I’m also into hitting up their sales rack. My last purchase was two Fred Perry polo shirts for 19.99 on sale from 75 dorras each. Also BDG shirts fit me really well and my bank account digs them at $12 a piece. I usually hang my head in shame any time I enter or exit the store though. Also I like thrift stores and love SV.
