babby’s first confined space entry permit?
Riding around at 10mph with him on my bike is no more dangerous than driving around at 60mph in my car right?
RIGHT?!?
right. digging the setup! we did something similar with out shitshow of a trike that i hated other than getting to ride my kid to the biggest baddest playground in philly
Aw man, I can’t wait to ride him down to Maggie Daley Park. It’s like 8 miles down the Lakefront from me and will be such a fun ride in the summer!
You should probably drill a couple holes in the lid
ours is only 6.5 acres but it’s all playgrounds including a 15k+ sqft building with classrooms and functioning traffic signals and parking meters in little cars/bikes track the basement. also a 12x40’ slide with 10’ of elevation drop. basically just close to 10 playgrounds right in north philly that you need a kid to get access to.
i love our weehoo but in the 0.135-2.0year range nothing is as fun as trips to the playground in a cargo whip
Is it animal cruelty if I ride my dog to the vet in this thing tomorrow? It’s gonna be 17f but I packed it with pillows and blankets. And the vet is only 1.6 miles away.
The alternative is walking him there which will take 3x as long and take a whole lot more energy than he’s used to putting out. He’s very very old.
I put him in the bin and carried him around the house and he seemed ok. I dunno.
If he is cool being under the blankets, I don’t think so, especially given alternative of outside slow walk.
He’ll be fine, probably better than the walk. BTW I should have your panels done tonight and will send them out tomorrow. Sorry it took so long, I hemmed and hawed about a design change.
No worries. I have a new baby so I actually forgot about that.
It’s funny how that works.
not for tomorrow obvi, but this is a great use case for a milwaukee or similar heated vest/jacket. we used one (and several warm layers under a down jacket) under a stroller “keep your baby warm” pocket to take our kiddo out for a 1.75hr bike ride in sub freezing temps. she was toasty AF and had a great time
I’d do a half mile dry run with the dog to see if it spooks him. Probably fine.
yall and your dogs and kids in the bullitt make me want to get a dog or kids to put in my bullitt
You should definitely get a dog and not a kid.
VOICE OF EXPERIENCE THERE.
hang in there buddy it gets better. soon they get language and start talking back.
A friend of mine had similar advice: “don’t try to keep gloves or hats or clothes on them, just zip them inside one of your huge down jackets and create their own little microclimate”.
our small one has figured out pockets. it’s awesome.
can’t enforce much from 4 feet forward on a bike though, and if their gloves aren’t tied together spanning through both sleeves, they will be yeeted into the middle of the 30mph street that happens to have a bike lane between your parents house and your house.
