Haha yeah it’s hilarious when they first figure out pockets. She loves gloves too but she keeps losing them at school because she just takes them off when she goes inside and just drops them wherever and the teachers miss them sometimes
like, how did we all make it this far?
We must have done so without gloves until someone came up with the elastic string through the sleeves idea.
The what?!
brenner often comes home with one mitten
“where is the other mitten” we ask
“uh…at school” he says
WHY WOULD YOU ONLY WEAR ONE MITTEN
With alligator clips attaching our gloves to our jacket? Or bundled like Randy in a Christmas Story.
Dunno if this is the right place but I sorta found a solution to the low rider problem that might be broadly applicable. I found these things on ebay:
And in the 25mm length they hooked up my tara and fenders like this:
It’s definitely a wide stance and I suspect it’s not as strong but everything clears!
This kinda scares me compared to a single long bolt with a tube spacer, but that’s probably unfounded
No I agree, it’s not ideal. Know it all works together I may end up looking up long bolt and spacer. I’m not planning on putting much weight on it in any case.
What would make a bolt + spacer better is that you could use a stronger bolt and a larger diameter spacer for more support. But it’s pretty good as shown.
I’d trust that setup.
I’ve seen a Bullitt bike around Seattle that has two tiny Cascadia flags on poles attached to the front of the box on both sides. Are you going to attach that near the 20" wheel steerer?
Yeah that’s the plan.
My Bullitt was making a ton of noise on the way to work this morning, both some nebulous clicking and weird buzzing from the IGH.
When I got to work and locked up I noticed that ALL FIVE chainring bolts were about half way unscrewed! How do all five bolts get so loose?
PS: It’s still clicking.
Is it an Alfine 8? Mine has always sounded and felt a bit weird in 4th gear. It gets really bad (and then slips!) when cable stretches (in 4th)
It’s di2 Alfine 11.
My alfine 8 setup was so annoying that I stopped using it after like a month.
