on the UK site they list it as Big Rig
A note for new Lorry folks. I took off the cassette to get to the pie plate and the cassette lockring had barely been tightened. Like I could take it off with the tool by hand with no wrench.
This weird little trick makes your Lorry feel 100% better. (Raleigh doesnât want you to know this!)
I would have put on some fun color grips, but this tape was all I had. Might get some keirin grips at some point.
is that the stock bar?!
needs pink with the grey atmo
Nah thatâs a Jones bar
How much does that bar overlap the platform?
This is more or less straight down
So, about a quarter of the rack. I see your point. I might look into some of those other wide, swept bars that donât have the front bit.
Iâm a big fan of the soma osprey, basically exactly a Jones bar with no loop
This is where that original Lorry with the bolt on rack would be nice, the platform was lower on that version. Maybe not as strong tho.
Thereâs still 36cm between the rack and the bars. I donât intend to fully utilize the cargo capability of this bike so Iâm not too worried.
Well the seat tube bottle mounts are bullshit. Barely fits the cage, definitely wonât fit a bottle, maybe not even with a side-entry.
Had that same concern. Wonder if a side mount with one of those storage kegs would fit.
The cage will definitely fit. If you got one of those things that drops the cage down, youâd have room for whatever. Youâd need to remove the chain watcher to do that though.
Are the 10 bottle cage mounts there for mounting batteries? Did they make an e version of this?
They mentioned something about signage for all them holes. No e version that I know of. Four holes on the DT is going to be nice for battery mounting options.
Can I suggest the Noirette bar which is a thing you can buy on amazon? I bought it for my Bullitt but it ended up on my Clyde.
This basically doubled the value of the bike right
Well I took them off of a sundeal, which cut that bikeâs value by about 70%. So it all evens out.
Lorrypeeps - what assembly does it need to get it functionally rolling?
Attach bars, pedals, rack platform (if you want, I just attached my crate directly to the rack), kickstand, dangler adjust, brake adjust (my rotors were fine but I did need to adjust the calipers), make sure nothing is loose, put air in the tires. Pretty sure that was it.
